The EBU is pleased to have partnered with The Centre for Sport and Human Rights (CSHR), signifying a shared goal in advancing responsible sport broadcasting globally.

As a member of CSHR's network of Engaged Organisations, the EBU will collaborate with partners to advocate for human rights within the sporting sphere with a focus on shaping responsible sport broadcasting practices and leveraging its extensive reach to foster integrity, fairness, and inclusivity in sport broadcasting worldwide.

Glen Killane, Executive Director of Eurovision Sport said: "Through this partnership with The Centre for Sport and Human Rights, the EBU reaffirms its commitment to advancing responsible sport broadcasting in alignment with human rights standards. Embracing collaboration as a catalyst for positive change, this partnership also underscores our firm belief in the transformative power of Public Service Media to drive meaningful societal progress, both within the realm of sports and beyond."

Launched in June 2018, CSHR works towards a world of sport that fully respects human rights by sharing knowledge, building capacity, and strengthening the accountability of all actors in the sport ecosystem through collective action.

Mary Harvey, CSHR CEO said: “We’re very proud to welcome the European Broadcasting Union to the Centre as an Engaged Organisation. With their large network of 113 member organisations in 56 different countries, they are a pivotal broadcasting partner to help ensure human rights standards are integrated into sports broadcasting policies which can help prevent issues such as discrimination and improved diversity and inclusion. We look forward to supporting the EBU with their human rights integration and our multi-stakeholder alliance will benefit from their contributions and knowledge sharing.”
