How are EBU Members exploring esports?

This report provides a general introduction to the world of esports, together with a snapshot of ongoing projects within the EBU ecosystem.

A total of 24 different EBU Members responded to the 2017 EBU esports survey on such topics as their interests and/ or plans to explore esports; the trends in their stories and formats to cover these games; the main channels used to distribute this type of content; some of the key existing partnerships and media coverage; and ideas to develop plans to cover this topic in the future.

The aim of the survey was to collect and share a general overview of what EBU Members are currently doing in this sector and identify potential interest and opportunities to collaborate. This document contains a summary of the most important findings.
