Dragan Bujošević has been re-elected as Director General of Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) by the Managing Board. Bujošević was first appointed RTS Director General in May 2015 and he has been re-appointed for a further five-year mandate.

Throughout his time in charge, RTS has remained the most watched station, with a record set in 2017 – RTS was the most watched for 360 out of 365 days that year.

Bujošević was born in Belgrade in 1954. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences with a degree in journalism. He served as editor-in-chief of Evropljanin and Politika and worked at NIN as a journalist and deputy editor-in chief. He was also an editor and political talk show host at BK, Enter and Prva television stations.

Bujošević has won numerous awards: the Politika Annual Award, the BK Foundation Award for Journalism and Opinion Journalism in 2020, the Danas daily Staša Marinković Award for analytical journalism in 2008, and the Duda Timotijević Award for Contribution to TV Journalism in 2001.

He is also the author of Peti oktobar – 24 časa prevrata (October the 5th – A 24-Hour Overthrow), a book he published together with Ivan Radovanović.
