EBU Lessons from Lockdown: Exploring Children’s Broadcasting

25 May 2020

COVID-19 has been changing the game in unprecedented ways for public service media. We’ve launched a new video interview series - EBU Lessons from Lockdown - to share the innovative ways our Members have been adapting their content, scheduling and more to support their communities during the crisis.

In this first episode of the new series, our Head of Children’s content, Madiana Asseraf-Jacob, sits down with representatives of the EBU Kids community to exchange thoughts, best practices and ideas on how children’s broadcasting has been reshaped by the COVID-19 lockdown.

With the unprecedented challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, children’s content has once again been at the heart of EBU Members’ strategies to serve new audience needs.

Colleagues from France Television, Rai in Italy and Norway’s NRK share their experiences and what they might do differently in the future as a result of what they’ve learnt.

Watch the video on our Youtube channel or download the transcript.
