It's been a cool spring in Europe, but the summer promises to be a hot one - at least in terms of classical music. The programme for the annual Euroradio Summer Festivals (ESF) is now available in MUSNew.

One of Euroradio's most popular offers, this series of highly concentrated live events from 17 June to 15 September makes available almost 350 concerts and operas from all over Europe, showcasing such famous names as Bayreuth, Lucerne and Salzburg. EBU radio organizations can choose from festivals spanning the length and breadth of Europe, from Granada to Tallinn.

There is something for everyone here: Berlioz's Messe solennelle from Montpellier for the 150th anniversary of his death; Jonny Willgoose and his "Race for Space" electronic music group from the BBC Proms; cabaret songs from Kuhmo (Finland); and a special concert for the 200th anniversary of Clara Schumann's birth, with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, featuring her Piano Concerto and a new work commissioned from Betsy Jolas.

The live transmissions will be managed together with the ERC by the following Summer Technical Coordinators:

Andreas Ummenhofer, DEBR, from 1 July to 21 July
Ales Orgic, SIRTVS, from 22 July to 4 August
Andrzej Rafa, PLPR, from 5 to 18 August
Susana Fernandez, ESRTVE, from 19 August to 15 September

The offering for all 13 weeks of the ESF can be found here.
