Doina Gradea appointed President Director General of TVR
03 April 2018Doina Gradea has been appointed President Director General of Romanian Television (TVR).
Gradea was validated by the Romanian Parliament for a period of four years.
Gradea is a highly experienced journalist with an in-depth knowledge of the Romanian media landscape.
She joined TVR in 2016 as an adviser to the news department, moving on to become a project manager for digital content and later a project manager for human resources.
Between 2004 and 2014, she was Executive Director of Pro TV International, the only private Romanian channel which broadcast special programmes aimed at Romanians living abroad. Previously she worked with ProTV SA and MEDIAPRO as Director of Corporate Affairs and an Executive Producer in charge of outdoor events.
She also worked as Editor in Chief for the news channel Canal 31 and Deputy Editor in Chief at Mediafax for economic news, where she started her career.
Gradea graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in 1993. She is a member of the Romanian Filmmakers Association and the executive committee of the Television and Film Producers Association.
