Music Programming Survey on its way to EBU radio organizations

Music Programming Survey on its way to EBU radio organizations

EBU radio organizations offer a wide range of radio content and formats, and music accounts for 44% of total output. Music remains an important switch-on factor, but radio faces strong competitive challenges everywhere. While we receive lots of information, we often don't know the why, how, where and when.

As a result, the EBU's Media Intelligence Service (MIS) will be conducting the first global music programming survey of its radio broadcasters.

The Music Programming Survey now going out to EBU radio organizations will not only provide a clear picture of all musical genres on the radio today and show if our services meet Members' needs, it will also help determine if we should expand into other areas such as video offers, series, interviews and live events on social media.

The findings of this highly professional data analysis, a collaborative effort of the Music Unit and MIS, will not only be extremely useful for us, they will also, of course, be shared with Members – a win-win for everyone.
