EBU Member BBC Radio 3 organizes two lunchtime concert seasons, one in summer and one in winter, featuring musicians selected as the New Generation Artists (NGA) for 2015-2017.  The series of 45-minute programmes showcases these young performers in concert as they prepare to embark on glittering international careers.

The 2016 NGA Summer Season is now available to EBU radio organizations in MUS under reference SM/16/12/24/01-09. Highlights of these concerts recorded at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios include the German baritone Benjamin Appl (pictured here) singing lieder by Brahms, Clara Schumann and Ilse Weber (who died in 1944 in a concentration camp); the Armida Quartet in one of Mozart's "Prussian" string quartets; and jazz improvisation by the UK trumpeter Laura Jurd.

More details on the NGA scheme and blogs by the performers can be found here.
