Executive Programme graduates gather for memorable reunion and PSM workshop
26 January 2016EBU member Czech TV hosted the first Eurovision Academy Executive programme Alumni Reunion. This event was attended by 20 graduates from the 2014 and 2015 Executive Programmes.
Petr Dvorak, Czech TV Director General and Executive Programme graduate (class of 2014), welcomed all the participants, who were eager to catch up and share how they put into practice the skills they picked up.
Keynote speaker Professor Mike Rosenberg, from the IESE business institute, presented the 4 strategic models that media organizations could choose to cope with the challenges ahead: the 'ambidextrous', the 'matrix', the 'all-in' and the 'co-operation/collaboration' organization.
A workshop was organized for the following morning to allow the participants to share their thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy and the key factors for public service media to benefit from them.
Given the positive feedback from all participants and the opportunity it offers graduates to connect with fellow EBU members, the Eurovision Academy is planning to organize this event annually.
The Eurovision Academy Executive Programme is intended for executives wishing to learn about the best strategies and practices for their media organization. It is delivered by IESE and UCLA, two of the best business schools in the world. The programme consists of 3 modules over a 6 month period and takes place in Barcelona, Los Angeles and New York.
