Music programming in the age of streaming

The media landscape and the music environment have changed dramatically over the past few years. While music has always been one of the main switch-on factors behind linear radio listening habits, the share of listening time by streaming services is denting this position.

But is it all that bad?

Are new digital rights and improved digital product offerings one way forward? Or is there compelling evidence that radio habits are evolving as our audiences move from youth to young adulthood, meaning that being connected to the world remain core strengths where a live, linear radio experience still excels?

This online event is part of the Music and Radio 60-minute sessions organized by the EBU Music Unit.
