Partnership Programme: Reporter Mirko Boskovic from Montenegrin Member RTCG has received a Special Mention for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism from the Central European Initiative (CEI) and South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO).

Boskovic received the accolade for his work on ‘The Promised Land’ as part of RTCG’s investigative news programme “Mechanism”.

The programme revealed the abuse of power within local and state authorities in Montenegro during a decade long process of selling state-owned land in the coastal and central region.

On receiving the Special Mention Boskovic said: “In the current situation when the future of ‘Mechanism’ is questioned, this recognition from SEEMO is encouraging and an obligation for me to be more determined and persistent to ensure the continuation and improvement of this project. “

“The impact and results after airing the first investigation has shown the importance and power of investigative journalism in shaping a better society in Montenegro", he added.
