New Algerian Director Generals
31 March 2020Our Algerian Members Etablissement Public de Télévision Algérienne (EPTV) and Etablissement Public de Radiodiffusion Sonore (EPRS) have both appointed new leaders.
Ahmed Bensebane was appointed Director General of EPTV at the beginning of the year. He is an experienced journalist having worked across newspapers, radio and television. He has also worked as a government spokesperson. Previous to this appointment, he held a range of positions at EPTA including Director of the regional stations of Ouargla and Oran and Director or Production.
Djamel Sendhadri has replaced Nacera Cherid as Director General of EPRS. He is well-known to Algerian citizens as the producer and presenter of one of the most famous radio programmes of the country: “Fa achehadou” (Public Service). Sendhadri has worked for many years at the national broadcaster including as director of the regional station of Tiaret and deputy director of the programmes of Radio Chaine 3.
