The first graduates of Kosovan broadcaster RTK’s Advanced Multimedia Journalism course received their diplomas this month in a graduation ceremony chaired by Mr. Mentor Shala, General Director of RTK. The programme was overseen by the Eurovision Academy.

7 journalists completed 12 courses on topics such as working in an integrated newsroom, generating story ideas, Interviewing, mobile journalism or using the web as a journalist.

At the end of their course, they also had to prepare one story on three media: TV, Radio and web and present these to RTK Directors Lorik Arifaj and Azem Bujupi. Vjosa Husaj received the highest grades in this programme.

Before the course 9 Senior Journalists from RTK were coached by the Eurovision Academy to become trainers. In this curriculum that started in May 2016, they learned how to define learning objectives, design practical exercises and organize a course for professionals. They then had to design their own interesting and practical course content for RTK Professionals.

RTK’s Advanced Multimedia Journalism also selected its second intake of 12 journalists who will start the course in September 2017.
