The EBU Media Intelligence Service (MIS) has published a detailed compilation of the documents that define the remit of public service media (PSM) across EBU members.

Gaining a better understanding of how PSM’s remit is defined is essential to increase the EBU’s advocacy capacity. With that purpose, MIS joined forces with the European Audiovisual Observatory (EAO) and collected legal and policy documents from all member countries that define the remit of public service media. The end result is a comprehensive database and tool that lists the documents by country, type, adoption date, or expiry date. It also includes links to the documents in their original language and in English, where available.

The database will allow EBU Members to have a better overview of the tasks and activities officially assigned to other PSM organizations. You can easily access it through the MIS portal or in the EBU open publications library.
