Jazz Producers

The Jazz Producers community bringing together EBU radio organizations’ specialists in jazz music covers all areas of jazz programming.

Participants share and collaborate on projects such as the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra, a European jazz big band made up of musicians aged 30 or under selected by EBU radio producers. Another project is the Euroradio Jazz Competition, which holds its finals at the Jazz in Marciac Festival (France), an event attracting around 250,000 visitors each year with which the EBU has built a strong partnership. These projects take place in alternate years.

Jazz music milestones and anniversaries are also celebrated by unearthing exceptional concert recordings from EBU radio organizations’ archives.

In all these aspects, the Jazz Producers community’s exchanges play an important role in spotlighting the contribution made by public service broadcasting to the music sector at large.
